The Power of Community -We’re Better Together
Thank You, 24-Hour Golfers!
We are incredibly grateful to share that the 2025 24-Hour Golfers have raised an impressive $29,445.00 in support of the Palliative Care Project at Vulcan Community Health Centre.
This extraordinary event wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication, passion, and heart of our amazing team of 12 golfers. They genuinely poured their souls into this cause, from rallying their circles of influence for donations to committing to an entire 24 hours of golf in honour of their loved ones and their community.
Throughout the day and into the night, our dedicated golfers navigated the course, even braving heavy, welcome rain. When the weather turned tough, they adapted—setting up a fun putting course, sharing stories, playing card games, and supporting one another in the cozy clubhouse. Their perseverance and camaraderie were truly inspiring.
We are deeply appreciative of the wonderful support from our community. Warm thanks to Subway Vulcan for providing delicious sandwiches, Market Street for the generous grab-and-go snacks, and Jami Stokes for providing chair massages—an especially meaningful gesture in memory of her beloved mother, Terry, who passed away a year ago.
What kept everyone going were the personal stories—the reasons behind each golfer’s commitment—that reminded us of the power of community and compassion. It is these connections that fuel our continuous efforts to promote health and wellness throughout Vulcan County.
From all of us at the Vulcan Community Health & Wellness Foundation, thank you to every golfer, supporter, and volunteer. Your kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit make events like this possible and impactful.
